London police are hunting for a pervert who sexually assaulted two Muslim women on board a bus. The incidents happened on separate occasions, but both women were wearing hijabs at the time.

In the first incident, a woman in her 20s was sitting on the top deck of a bus when the man approached her and started touching her inappropriately. She tried to push him away, but he continued to assault her. The woman eventually managed to escape and get off the bus.

In the second incident, a woman in her 30s was sitting on the bottom deck of a bus when the man approached her and started touching her inappropriately. She tried to ignore him, but he continued to assault her. The woman eventually managed to get off the bus, but she was shaken and upset.

Police have released CCTV images of the suspect, who is described as a white man in his 30s with short brown hair and a beard. He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and white trainers.

Police are urging anyone who recognizes the man or who has any information about the incidents to contact them. They are also warning women to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the police.

The Muslim Council of Britain has condemned the attacks and has called on the police to catch the perpetrator as soon as possible.

“We are deeply concerned by these reports of sexual assaults on Muslim women,” said Harun Khan, Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain. “These attacks are not only physically and emotionally harmful to the victims, but they also send a message that Muslim women are not welcome in our society.

“We urge the police to do everything they can to catch the perpetrator and bring him to justice. We also call on the Muslim community to come together and support the victims.”

Advice to women:

  • If you are sexually assaulted on public transport, try to stay calm and do not confront the attacker.
  • If possible, try to get off the bus or train at the next stop.
  • Report the incident to the police as soon as possible.
  • If you are feeling shaken or upset, talk to a trusted friend or family member or seek professional help.

If you see a woman being sexually assaulted on public transport:

  • Intervene if it is safe to do so.
  • Ask the woman if she is okay and if she needs help.
  • If the woman is too scared to speak, try to distract the attacker or get help from other people on the bus or train.
  • Report the incident to the police as soon as possible.
