PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz Sharif Poised to Lead Punjab as First Female CM

Maryam Nawaz Sharif of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is poised to make history as the First Female Chief Minister of Punjab. Having secured 131 seats in the Punjab Assembly, the PML-N, along with its coalition partners, is all set to form the government in the province. Additionally, the PML-N leadership has chosen Shehbaz Sharif as their candidate for the Prime Minister seat. The Pakistan Peoples Party and the Muttahida Quami Movement have also pledged their support for Shehbaz.
